We have been experimenting extensively with an epoxy formula, with great results. I feel the main advantage is for small wave boards. Boards come out 1 lb. to 1 1/2 lbs. lighter, which makes them a lot more responsive. Yes, these boards do dent but not as much as regular foam and fiberglass. My goal has always been to build better HI Performance Surfboards.

KKL 10 Super Groveller. I designed this board for the smallest surf. Wings shorten the turn and make the tail narrower to sink faster and fit in wave. Flatter rocker keeps you flying over dead spots. I kept the nose narrow as wide nose fishy boards tend to ride like funboards. "Ride 2" to 3" shorter and 3/4" to 1" wider than your short board." |
